Gabby & T's Room (partially complete)

Since we've moved in, there's been a lot of unpacking and moving around. This room ended up being the last bedroom to be painted and completely unpacked. We weren't truly sure if we were going to put all 4 kids in one room and make this room a playroom or if it would be smarter to split the kids up and add a play area to each room. It may seem like common sense to just split the kids up but I don't really agree with having food, toys, and kids in one room lol. I don't know, it might just be me. We finally decided that since my oldest daughter would be with her mom most of the time and our son would be in our room most of the time, it only made sense to put them two in the same semi-occupied room. The two middle kids would always be together at this stage whether they liked it or not so we put them in the same room to avoid having to deal with any of the kids being scared to sleep by themselves.

So for paint we decided to keep some of the pink and paint the main walls the BEHR PREMIUM PLUS ULTRA™ Disney's "Bee a Friend." We cut a few inches off of the curtain rod then added these cute Peace Out Curtains from dELiA*s, $14.99 for a set of two. We bought the sweet IKEA TROMSÖ bunk bed frame for $149 and the LÄTT Children's table and 2 chairs for $19.99. We added most of the decoration and toys from our old house but there's so much more that needs to be sorted our and given a designated home.

We removed these beyond unnecessary old closet doors and got rid of the peeling wall paper on the shelves.

Since we can't put in the new closet organizers yet, we just stuck with what we had and organized as much as we could. Their clothing was still in their big sister's room (we left that for them to do after their surprise lol). We finally set up their year old doll house that was still in its package (ashamed). We basically just wanted to give them the surprise shock of seeing their room somewhat put together in such a short period (three cartoon episodes later).

They were definitely excited about their new room. They lost some of that excitement when we told them they'd have to move all their clothes from their sister's room lol but they got over it.
